Q. |
What is the airbrush make-up? |
A. |
Airbrushing is a make-up application technique where foundation is sprayed onto the face using an air compressor and a gun as a fine mist of colour that gently covers the skin, giving the appearance of a flawless complexion. Because the foundation is misted on, it allows your true skin tone to show through without masking your face. Read More >

Q. |
What is the difference between airbrush and traditional make-up applications? |
A. |
Airbrush make-up is by far the superior technique. Traditional foundations if not applied correctly by a professional make-up artist can look obvious, caked-on or thick with a heavy feeling on the skin. Airbrush make-up is exceptionally lightweight and can feel as if you are not wearing make-up at all. Read More >

Q. |
What make-up products do you use? |
A. |
As a professional make-up artist, I don’t like to limit myself to one particular brand or range of cosmetics, as I believe that one brand alone can not contain a range of products that will suit everybody’s individual needs. All of the products I use are highly pigmented, professional-grade, photographic, and long wearing. This allows me to achieve a natural and fresh look with a flawless finish, that looks fantastic in person and in photos, but without the heavy make-up look and feel. Read More >

Q. |
How does DHA in sunless tanners work? |
A. |
All effective sunless tanners contain DHA. |
Q. |
What do I need to do to prepare for getting a spray tan? |
A. |
Prior to tan, exfoliate your body. This can be achieved by using exfoliating gloves or by rubbing a damp soapy washer firmly over your skin paying attention to rough areas like elbows, knees, ankles and tops of feet that are prone to dryness.
Make sure your skin is clean and dry before having the tan applied. e.g. No deodorants/moisturisers/perfumes etc (as this forms a barrier on the skin and affects coverage).
Shaving or waxing is best done up to 24 hours prior to allow pores to close.
Darker coloured swim wear or underwear would be advisable while tanning. Disposable g-strings are available in salon for those who require them - or of course you can be spray tanned naked.
Make sure all jewellery is removed and hair is tied back and secure. Disposable hair covers are available in salon for those who require them. Read More >

|
Q. |
What do I need to do to maintain my spray tan? |
A. |
Wear loose dark clothing while your tan develops.
With the Rapid Tan do not shower for at least 1-2 hours for best results. Do no leave Rapid Tan on for more than 2 hours.
Using the original formula, do not shower for 5-7 hours (longer for a darker result).
Try not to rub soap all over the body as this can cause tan to lift – a body wash is recommended. Do not be alarmed when your tan appears to be washing off. This is only your bronzer agent (what is used to guide you when spraying). Your beautiful natural tan has now developed underneath.
Once out of shower, pat yourself dry. Do not rub, as this will cause tan to come off uneven.
To prolong the life of your tan we suggest you moisturise twice a day.
When having a spray tan done just before going to bed, it is advisable to rub a small amount of moisturiser over the palms of your hands and apply a small amount of talc powder there too. This will form a barrier when sleeping in case hands rest on body during night. Read More >
